Simone Wilson:
Simone Wilson is a self-taught artist born in Atlanta, Georgia and is currently working in West Asheville. She is an obsessive scavenger and rescuer of materials from the past and this often influences her work. Setting up studio in 1991, she began producing functional and aesthetic assemblages out of the wonderful junk she would find. In addition to her found object work, she also produces paintings, prints and garden gates. She can be found on the web at Pleasant Hugh Studio. Simone has donated a metal ornament for the gift basket raffle.
